Fathom

Before you start.
A Fathom account with API access to recordings you own or that are shared with your team, plus Doppel Pro or the trial.
What you can do
- Choose individual recordings and import their available original transcripts.
- Recall the conversation with source links, timestamps, and the speaker labels supplied by Fathom.
Connect Fathom.
Create a Fathom API key.
Open Fathom’s website settings and create an API key. Use the account that can access the recordings you want; an administrator’s key does not automatically include other people’s unshared meetings.
Open Manage sources.
Go to Settings → Integrations → Manage sources. In Selected sources, choose Add account. This is separate from Add integration.
Add your Fathom account.
In Add account, choose Fathom, enter a recognizable Account label, paste the key into API key or personal access token, and choose Add account. Doppel saves the credential in macOS Keychain.
Choose where the source belongs.
Select Choose source. Set Use in to the intended Doppel project, or All-work chats only. A source assigned to one project cannot be requested from another project’s chat.
Select a recording.
Use Load sources or Load more, choose the meeting by name, and add that source. Repeat for other recordings you want remembered. Selecting from the list preserves the recording date and source link.
Check the import.
Choose Add source, then inspect its coverage and Last complete sync. Use Sync now to refresh it. Ask a question in the project you assigned, or an All-work chat if you chose All-work chats only.

Open the cited recording and compare a transcript passage and timestamp. Check that the source has completed syncing before asking about it.
Data and permissions.
Doppel retrieves the selected transcript directly from Fathom and stores and processes the imported text on your Mac. The recording remains hosted by Fathom.
Current limits
Read-only transcript import. No recording upload, meeting creation, or automatic import of every recording. Available content depends on Fathom’s access and transcript availability; a calendar invite alone is not proof of attendance.
Disconnect or change access.
In Settings → Integrations → Manage sources, select this account. Choose Remove source to remove one imported source, or the account menu → Disconnect account to remove its credentials and selected imports. Provider originals remain unchanged. Saved chats and exports are separate; revoke an API key at the provider if you also want to invalidate it there.
If something isn’t working.
A recording is missing
Check access in Fathom with the key owner’s account, use Load more, and confirm a transcript is available. A shared team recording must be accessible to that account.
