Apple Calendar

Before you start.

A calendar visible in the Calendar app on this Mac. You can connect on Free. Live calendar/reminder tools in Chat and actions require Pro or the trial; Free can search eligible personal memory within its history window.

What you can do

• Read upcoming events and use calendar context in your day.
• Create or update events when you request an action and approve it.

Connect Apple Calendar.

1. Check your calendar on this Mac.

   Open Calendar and confirm the account and events you want are visible. Add the account there first if needed.

2. Find Apple Calendar in Doppel.

   Open Settings → Integrations → Add integration. Select Apple Calendar, then Connect.

3. Grant Calendar access.

   Approve the macOS permission request. If you previously denied it, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars and enable Doppel.

4. Check an upcoming event.

   Return to Integrations and check that Apple Calendar shows connected. During the Pro trial or with Pro, ask about an event you can see in Calendar; confirm its date, time, and calendar before making changes.

Choose what to remember.

With Pro or the trial, use Manage sources to remember selected content and assign it to a project. This is an additional, separately authorized connection.

1. Open Manage sources.

   Go to Settings → Integrations → Manage sources. In Selected sources, choose Add account. This is separate from Add integration.

2. Add the source account.

   Select the service and give the account a label. Sign in to the account that owns the source, or approve macOS access for Apple Calendar and Reminders. This account is stored separately from your primary integration connection.

3. Choose where the source belongs.

   Select Choose source. Set Use in to the intended Doppel project, or All-work chats only. A source assigned to one project cannot be requested from another project’s chat.

4. Select what to remember.

   Choose a calendar from the list.

5. Check the import.

   Choose Add source, then inspect its coverage and Last complete sync. Use Sync now to refresh it. Ask a question in the project you assigned, or an All-work chat if you chose All-work chats only.

What this imports

Selected calendar: 90 days back and 180 days ahead, including recurring events, reschedules, and cancellations. An invitation is not proof of attendance.

Check each source’s coverage and Last complete sync. If access becomes unavailable, the source is excluded from answers until a complete sync succeeds.

Data and permissions.

Doppel reads calendars through macOS and indexes event context locally. Changes to an iCloud, Google, or other synced calendar may sync through that account.

Current limits

Access follows the calendars and account permissions available on this Mac. Calendar access does not grant permission to record meeting audio.

See what stays local and what uses the network

Disconnect or change access.

Manage access in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars. Revoking permission stops calendar access; it does not delete events from your calendar account.

Selected-source accounts are separate. In Manage sources, remove an individual source or disconnect its account to remove those imported copies and credentials. Disconnecting the primary integration alone does not remove a separately authorized source account. Provider originals, saved chats, and exports are managed separately.
